Marek Hamsik: 'Napoli must improve'

Marek Hamsik says that Napoli need to improve at the back, following their 2-2 draw with Empoli.

Napoli captain Marek Hamsik has said that his team must improve following their draw against Empoli in Serie A this afternoon.

The Partenopei came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at the Stadio Carlo Castellani, as their winless start to the season continued.

"Napoli's revival was shown in the second half when we kept Empoli pinned back throughout," Hamsik told Premiumsport.

"It is shame because we needed only one more goal but it is important to have the attitude that we have shown today.

"However we can't keep conceding goals and we must improve. We are not satisfied and we must strive to obtain a victory. It has not been easy so far but today we have seen an invigorated Napoli side, especially in the second half."

Napoli are next in action when they face Club Brugge in the Europa League on Thursday evening, before taking on Serie A rivals Lazio at the weekend.
