A Serie A club allegedly have "no chance" of securing a January deal for wantaway Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

Another club has allegedly been ruled out in the race to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

With the England international having failed to earn any game time during United's last six matches, it appears to be a foregone conclusion that he will depart Old Trafford on loan.

A wide array of clubs are said to be interested in his signature, West Ham United the latest Premier League side to be linked with an approach.

Rashford has reportedly already rejected a move to Turkey and Saudi Arabia at the midway point of the campaign, and it appears that another club has been ruled out of the running.

Serie A minnows miss out?

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who was commenting on X, there is "no chance" of Rashford making the switch to Como.

Romano adds that there have been no discussions to sign for Cesc Fabregas's side, who are attempting to remain in Serie A after promotion last season.

Como has earned 18 points from as many matches to sit in 16th position in the standings having made a number of high-profile additions.

Nevertheless, they will seemingly not be acquiring the services of Rashford, their best hope having been a straight loan until the end of 2024-25.

Who remains in the race?

With the January transfer window open for at least another three weeks, there is plenty of time for more twists and turns with Rashford's future.

The 27-year-old's brother and agent is said to have already travelled to Italy to hold discussions with AC Milan, while Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested.

Tottenham Hotspur have been credited as admirers, yet Spurs may now be focusing their attention on trying to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain.

While the player will ultimately make the final decision, United will want to save as much money on his wages as possible and generate the biggest loan fee that they can.

Ruben Amorim is waiting for the club's hierarchy to facilitate departures in order to create room for new arrivals.
