Manchester United are interested in signing Benfica's Goncalo Ramos and Ajax's Mohammed Kudus this summer, according to a report.

Benfica's Goncalo Ramos and Ajax's Mohammed Kudus will reportedly both be forward targets for Manchester United during this summer's transfer window.

The 20-time English champions are currently working on a deal to sign Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley for the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign.

Erik ten Hag's side are expected to sign a big-money striker this summer, with Napoli's Victor Osimhen and Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane both being strongly linked with the club.

However, according to Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst, both Ramos and Kudus are also being considered by the Red Devils

"Ten Hag does like Benfica's Goncalo Ramos and Mohammed Kudus at Ajax. They are both more attainable. Kudus would be relatively straightforward, although if United plump for him they should get that done early doors after Ajax had them over a barrel with Antony," wrote Luckhurst.

Kudus, who played under Ten Hag at Ajax, has scored 10 goals and registered two assists in 21 appearances for the Dutch champions during the 2022-23 campaign.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs since impressing for Ghana at the 2022 World Cup, with Liverpool, Newcastle United and Barcelona all credited with an interest.

Kudus has a contract with Ajax until June 2025, though, placing the Eredivisie outfit in a strong position when it comes to any potential negotiations over a transfer fee.

Ramos is also being heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford, with the 21-year-old boasting an impressive scoring record for Benfica this season, netting 15 goals in 25 appearances, in addition to registering seven assists.

The striker was in action for Portugal at the 2022 World Cup, meanwhile, famously scoring three times in his team's 6-1 victory over Switzerland in the round of 16, having been preferred to Cristiano Ronaldo.

In total, Ramos has scored 29 goals and registered 11 assists in 84 appearances for Benfica, who have him on a contract until June 2026.

Man United have been linked with a move for Barcelona's Memphis Depay this month, with the Netherlands international said to be keen to return to the club.

However, Weghorst is thought to be on the verge of moving to Old Trafford, with Besiktas reluctantly agreeing to let him end his loan deal, providing that a replacement can be signed.

Ronaldo had been due to spend the rest of the season at Man United, but the Portuguese's contract was terminated at the end of November following the explosive interview that he gave to Piers Morgan on TalkTV.
