West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice is open to moving to Liverpool during next summer's transfer window, according to a report.

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice is reportedly interested in discussing a move to Liverpool during next summer's transfer window.

The 23-year-old is widely expected to leave the Hammers next year, with the England international recently dropping a major hint that he could be moving on in the near future.

"One hundred per cent I want to play in the Champions League," Rice told reporters when asked about his future at club level. "For the last two or three years I've been saying that.

"I've been playing consistently well for my club and I feel like I really want to keep pushing. I see my friends here who are playing Champions League and for big trophies.

"You only get one career and at the end you want to look back at what you've won and the biggest games you've played in. I really want to do that."

Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are among the clubs to be linked with the Englishman, while Liverpool have also been mentioned as admirers.

Rice's future could be dependent on what happens with Jude Bellingham, with the same clubs said to be competing for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.

Liverpool are believed to be determined to sign Bellingham, but the Reds could switch their attention to Rice if they are unsuccessful in their attempts to bring in the former Birmingham City youngster.

Chelsea have long been considered as the favourites for Rice, with the Blues having the midfielder in their youth system between 2006 and 2014 before releasing him.

However, according to journalist Dean Jones, the West Ham captain would seriously consider a move to Liverpool in the summer of 2023, and he could potentially be available for around £70m.

"Rice is almost certain to leave West Ham this summer and it is looking increasingly like his price-tag is more reachable than at any point in the recent past," Jones wrote on GIVEMESPORT.

"It has been reported that £70m could be enough to seal the signing of Rice and Liverpool would be a serious consideration for the player if they reach out.

"Chelsea are seen as strong favourites for Rice yet the player has indicated to people around him that moving out of London would not faze him. Liverpool's success and history could appeal."

Rice has played a key role in England reaching the quarter-finals of the World Cup, starting all four of their matches at the competition against Iran, the USA, Wales and Senegal.

Meanwhile, he entered the tournament off the back of a strong start to the season for West Ham, making 20 appearances in all competitions for the Hammers, contributing one goal and two assists in the process.
