Tuesday's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup: Christian Eriksen, Memphis Depay, Moussa Dembele

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Manchester United on Tuesday, November 24.

A frustrating summer transfer window has now closed with Manchester United having missed out on a number of their top targets, including Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils were busy on deadline day, though, bringing in Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri, in addition to agreeing a deal to sign Amad Traore in January. Attention will now switch to other business they may do when the window reopens in the winter.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.

Tuesday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:

Inter Milan weighing up Christian Eriksen, Fred swap deal?

Inter Milan are reportedly weighing up a swap deal with Manchester United that would see Christian Eriksen and Fred swap clubs in the January transfer window.

Eriksen has struggled to hold down a regular place in Inter's starting lineup since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in the second half of last season.

The Denmark international has managed just four goals and three assists in 33 games for the Nerazzurri.

Man United are rumoured to be interested in bringing Eriksen back to the Premier League next year, and Inter are open to the idea of getting the playmaker off their books.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport suggests that one possible option for Antonio Conte's side is to offer Eriksen in exchange for Fred, but United may need some persuading to offload the Brazilian.

The same report indicates that Leandro Paredes and Granit Xhaka, of Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal respectively, are also being eyed up by Inter if they can first get rid of Eriksen.

Inter Milan chief executive officer Beppe Marotta has revealed that Christian Eriksen will be free to leave the Italian giants during the January transfer window.

The Denmark international has largely struggled to impress for Inter since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur in January, managing just four goals and three assists in 33 outings in all competitions.

Manchester United are allegedly considering a January move for the playmaker, and Marotta has revealed that the 28-year-old will be available for transfer at the start of 2021.

"Yesterday, [Antonio] Conte answered in a very comprehensive way," Marotta told DAZN. "I clearly add that we will not hold a footballer back if they ask to be transferred. We will have to make the right evaluations.

"Conte is using [Eriksen] with respect for the player and the club. At the moment no offers have arrived, but at the appropriate time we will try to make the right decisions."

Inter boss Conte said that Eriksen "has had many opportunities" to prove himself at the club since arriving in the winter transfer window.

The Black and Blues are thought to value the former Ajax youngster in the region of £18m.
