Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly working on a starting lineup without Paul Pogba in mind for Manchester United's Premier League return against Tottenham Hotspur.
United are back in action on Friday for the first time in more than three months owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
Pogba had been expected to slot straight back into the Red Devils' XI after recovering from injury during the prolonged hiatus, but The Athletic reports that the Frenchman is likely to be among the subs.
The 27-year-old has been used just eight times in all competitions this term and not at all since Boxing Day, having undergone surgery on a long-standing foot injury in January.
Solskjaer is supposedly reluctant to risk Pogba from the off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, meaning that Fred and Nemanja Matic may get the nod alongside Bruno Fernandes in central midfield.
Marcus Rashford is also back in squad contention for Project Restart after taking part in full training over the past couple of weeks.
