Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
The 24-year-old has established himself as first-team regular since his arrival in 2019, making a total of 104 appearances in all competitions.
However, the Netherlands international is currently part of an under-performing side at a time when further sales will need to be made in the upcoming transfer windows.
According to Calciomercato, that has led to the likes of Man City and Bayern beginning to monitoring any developments with De Jong.
While the player has a contract at Camp Nou until 2026, the Catalan giants are expected to be open to a sale at the right price.
City could view De Jong as a potential replacement for Fernandinho, with Bayern more attracted to the player offering more competition in the middle of the pitch.
