Queens Park Rangers were sent back down to the Championship on Sunday with a resounding 6-0 defeat away to Manchester City.
The hosts were dominant in the first half as goals from Sergio Aguero and Aleksandar Kolarov put them in firm control of the match.
Aguero scored twice more after the break to seal his hat-trick, while James Milner and David Silva also got on the scoresheet to help City confirm their place in next season's Champions League.

Was the result fair?
The result suggests that Manchester City were just that little bit better than Queens Park Rangers. Joking aside, the hosts ran out comfortable winners in the end and could have even added to their impressive goal tally come the final whistle. Meanwhile, the away side were flat as a pancake and deserved their drubbing.
Man City's performance
This was City at their fluid, cavalier best. Their attacking play was a joy to behold for much of the match, with Sergio Aguero, David Silva and James Milner all linking superbly to give the visitors numerous problems in the final third. While there has been plenty of talk about Chelsea's pragmatic style over the past couple of weeks, there is nothing uninspiring about Manuel Pellegrini's side when they are in this kind of mood. It could be argued that the hosts occasionally looked vulnerable at the back - particularly when Martin Demichelis was left to clear any danger - though they rarely had to deal with QPR at this end of the pitch. It has been a disappointing season for the former champions, though this kind of performance goes to show that they are still a force to be reckoned with when they want to be.
QPR's performance
Judging by this display, it is easy to see why QPR have been sent packing from the Premier League. The visitors were woeful from the first whistle, with their defence and midfield completely overwhelmed by City. There was a lack of fight and hunger in key areas, while Charlie Austin and Bobby Zamora were made to toil up front to no avail. There were moments when the away side looked like they could have got on the scoresheet such as when Leroy Fer hit the woodwork, but these instances were rare. It has been a long season for the Hoops and these performances have been all too familiar for the supporters. It is vital that the club gets rid of all the deadwood in the squad over the summer and brings in players that actually care because very few of the current ones did at the Etihad Stadium, despite what was at stake.
Sports Mole's man of the match
Sergio Aguero: The Argentine striker was in ruthless form in front of goal, ending the game with a deserved hat-trick. Not only was his finishing impressive, but his work rate and link-up play with his teammates also played a big part in the result.
Biggest gaffe
QPR's defence was half-asleep at the start of the match as Sergio Aguero was allowed to bundle his way through before putting Manchester City 1-0 up. The striker was given far too much time around the penalty area when at least three defenders had the chance to close him down.
Referee performance
Mike Dean gave a solid display in the middle as he allowed the game to be played at a quick pace with minimal stoppages. His biggest call was to award the home side a penalty when David Silva was brought down by Matt Phillips in the box, which he got right.

Man City: The Blues are back in Premier League action on May 17 when they face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
QPR: The Hoops continue their Premier League campaign on May 16 with the visit of Newcastle United to Loftus Road.
