Maxim Choupo-Moting: 'Mainz 05 deserved win'

Maxim Choupo-Moting believes that Mainz's 2-0 win over Hannover on Friday night was a fair result.

Mainz 05 forward Maxim Choupo-Moting has insisted that his side's 2-0 win at home to Hannover on Friday night was the right result.

Choupo-Moting, who came off the bench to score the decisive late goal, believes that even though Mainz did not start well and almost conceded late on, the final outcome was a fair reflection of the match.

"We didn't start the game that well, but we stuck at it and improved as the match went on," he told Bundesliga.com.

"They almost equalised at the end, but those are the best type of wins. It's the little things that make the difference, and I think we deserved to win."

The win moved Mainz into seventh in the Bundesliga.
