James Milner "excited" about Liverpool future under Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool midfielder James Milner admits that he is extremely confident that the club will continue to thrive under the management of Jurgen Klopp.

James Milner has revealed that he is "excited" about the future of Liverpool under the management of Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds continued their good run of form since the German's arrival at the club in October by beating Swansea City 1-0 at Anfield courtesy of a strike from the penalty spot from Milner.

The England international is confident that his side can continue to improve under the tenure of Klopp by targeting silverware this season as well as challenging for a place in the top four.

"I think it is a talented squad of players, we have a great mix of youth and experience and obviously a new manager, the stadium is being upgraded as well so I think it is a great time to be involved at the club," Milner is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"It is exciting times for everyone, if we keep working hard, keep improving, keep doing our job then hopefully we can be successful. We just want to keep improving, playing as well as we can and getting the wins on the board.

"Hopefully [we can] get into January and February and still be in all the cup competitions and give ourselves a shot in one of the cups, see where we are in the league and assess it from there."

Liverpool moved up to seventh in the Premier League following their win over the Swans.
