Fabio Liverani confident of Leyton Orient survival

Leyton Orient boss Fabio Liverani is confident that his side can avoid relegation from League One.

Leyton Orient boss Fabio Liverani has backed his side to avoid relegation from League One despite losing to Notts County.

The O's failed to get off the bottom of the table last night as they were beaten 1-0 by the Magpies at Brisbane Road.

Orient are now six points adrift of safety, but Liverani is confident that they can get themselves out of trouble.

"I believe in the squad that we have here and we can get out of this situation with hard work and we can survive," the Italian is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"Working hard is the only way to get out of the situation. I thought that we played reasonably well and created chances, but it was just that we couldn't manage to score.

"But I have no criticism of our players. If they continue to train hard and play as they did, then I think this is the right way forward."

Orient are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Chesterfield in the league.
