Millwall manager Ian Holloway unhappy with police following defeat at Leeds United

Millwall boss Ian Holloway describes the treatment of the club's supporters by West Yorkshire Police as "totally unfair" after watching his side lose 1-0 at Elland Road.

Ian Holloway has claimed that West Yorkshire Police's treatment of Millwall supporters was part of the reason that his side suffered defeat at Leeds United this afternoon.

Past clashes between fans of the two Championship clubs mean that travelling Lions fans have to adhere to strict rules on matchday, including going to a motorway service station to collect their tickets.

Only 200 Millwall fans made the journey to watch their side lose 1-0 at Elland Road and Holloway feels that the treatment that they get is "totally unfair".

"We couldn't get the volume of noise from our fans that we got in our last game," The Telegraph quotes Holloway as saying.

"Who knows, when we had momentum in the second half, that might have got us a goal and the point we deserved.

"I enjoyed the way Leeds fans supported their team, but it's totally unfair. It was 24,000 competing with 200 of ours."

Defeat leaves Millwall in the bottom three, one point behind Brighton & Hove Albion in 21st.
