Hull City and West Bromwich Albion played out a 0-0 draw in Saturday afternoon's Premier League clash at the KC Stadium.
The visitors were gifted a penalty in the eighth minute when Jake Livermore fouled Victor Anichebe in the Tigers box, but goalkeeper Allan McGregor came to the rescue with a diving save from Graham Dorrans's spot kick.
After a tense, turgid first half, the second period proved more lively, with Hull dominating proceedings, but the Baggies had their chances and could have scored were it not for McGregor's alertness between the sticks.
Ultimately, the match finished goalless, with Steve Bruce's side dropping into the bottom three and Alan Irvine's charges now hovering just above in 16th place.

Allan McGregor: Prevented West Brom from getting in front with an acrobatic penalty save early on. Continued his good form thereafter. (8/10)

Liam Rosenior: Struggled against Andre Wisdom while on the attack, but was effective at the back against the on-loan Baggies man. (7/10)
James Chester: Put in a great shift and did a good job of keeping Anichebe at bay. (7/10)
Michael Dawson: Lucky not to gift a penalty against Anichebe, but improved as the game went on, making some good blocks. (6/10)
Ahmed Elmohamady: A constant threat down the right flank and provider of a number of crosses that caused panic. (7/10)
Midfield
David Meyler: Linked up well with Elmohamady and was constantly on the move down the flanks. (6/10)
Tom Huddlestone: Strong and impervious in midfield, constantly proving a nuisance by thwarting any West Brom counters and launching Hull forward. (6/10)
Stephen Quinn: Struggled against the lively Wisdom both going forward and coming back. Largely anonymous. (5/10)
Jake Livermore: Was at fault for giving away the game's early penalty, though luckily for him it came to nothing. Got better as the afternoon went on. (5/10)

Sone Aluko: Was ineffective in the final third and lacked communication with Hernandez. Found himself dropping deep more often than not. (5/10)
Abel Hernandez: Largely isolated up front as Aluko dropped back, and plagued by bad decision making. (5/10)

Andrew Robertson: Was subbed on to provide more pace and power up the flank, but struggled. (5/10)

Ben Foster: Had a quiet game as Hull lacked incisiveness, but was solid when called upon, and did not let his concentration flounder. (6/10)

Sebastien Pocognoli: Dealt with Elmohamady well enough, despite the Egyptian being a constant threat. (6/10)
Joleon Lescott: A rock in the Baggies defence, he was strong and alert, and was often first to Elmohamady's crosses. (7/10)
Gareth McAuley: Strong in defence, complementing Lescott well and also proving useful against aerial threats. (7/10)
Andre Wisdom: A great shift from the on-loan man, constantly threatening down the flank and also defending stoutly. (8/10)
Midfield
Youssouf Mulumbu: Effective in his deep-lying role, thwarting potential Hull attacks and kickstarting counters for his own team. (6/10)
James Morrison: Complemented Mulumbu well, pushing forward and linking up well with the Baggies front line.(6/10)
Stephane Sessegnon: A constant threat in the final third, his pace and vision caused trouble in the Hull penalty area. (6/10)
Graham Dorrans: Had the worst possible start when he messed up his chance to open the scoring from the spot following his weak penalty, and never really got into the game thereafter. (5/10)
Craig Gardner: Tended to drop back as the game went on in a bid to thwart the home side's attacks. Played well alongside Mulumbu. (6/10)

Victor Anichebe: Won his side a penalty - although it could have been two - but grew largely anonymous as the game went on. (6/10)

Saido Berahino: Had a bit of an impact as he provided a bit more pace and buzz, but like Anichebe, the man he replaced, struggled to penetrate the Hull defence. (6/10)
Silvestre Varela: Did well to add creativity and flair in the final third, and would have scored right at the death were it not for McGregor's stunning save. (7/10)
