Hearts oust Falkirk to go six points clear in Scottish Championship

Hearts surge six points clear at the top of the Scottish Championship with a victory over Falkirk which extends their unbeaten start to the season to 13 games.

Hearts overcame Falkirk 2-1 this evening to continue their unbeaten start to the season and go six points clear at the top of the Scottish Championship.

The visitors took the lead in the 27th minute when Kevin McHattie drilled home from the left side of the area.

The Jam Tarts doubled their lead 10 minutes later when Soufian El Hassnaoui slammed home Jamie Walker's cross from close range.

Falkirk substitute Botti Bia-Bi gave the home side hope with a goal 20 minutes from time, but they could not rescue a point as Hearts won their 11th league game of the season.

After Rangers could only draw with Alloa Athletic earlier, Hearts now go six points clear at the summit, having dropped just four points in 13 games, while Falkirk stay sixth.
