Ashkan Dejagah leaves Fulham

Iranian midfielder Ashkan Dejagah leaves Championship outfit Fulham to join Qatari side Al-Arabi.

Fulham winger Ashkan Dejagah has signed for Qatari club Al-Arabi.

Following two seasons at Craven Cottage, the 24-year-old has decided to make the switch after Fulham's relegation to the Championship.

"Having spoken with Ashkan, we decided in the best interest of both Fulham and himself, that he would leave the club. During his time with us, he made some good appearances and scored some memorable goals. However, we decided to part ways," Fulham manager Felix Magath told the club's official website.

"It will always be our policy to have players who are committed to the club and have a desire to work for the common goal. We wish him very much luck for the future at Al-Arabi."

Dejagah, who made 49 appearances for Fulham, has agreed a two-year deal with his new employers.
