Phil Jagielka has admitted that he is impressed by the way that his Everton teammate Ross Barkley has adapted to life with the England team.
The 19-year-old recently received his first call-up to the national side for the World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine.
"He's really enjoyed being with the squad and that's what you love to see, especially with a young lad," Jagielka told the Liverpool Echo.
"He's had so much expectation chucked on his shoulders and had to deal with a couple of bad injuries.
"So as well as the plus points, there has been a lot of negativity in his career but he seems to have come through that really well."
England continue their World Cup qualifying campaign on Tuesday when they take on Ukraine in Kiev.
