Team News: England boss Gareth Southgate rings changes against Costa Rica

England boss Gareth Southgate makes 10 changes to his side for the World Cup warm-up match against Costa Rica.

England manager Gareth Southgate has made wholesale changes to his side for tonight's friendly against Costa Rica at Elland Road.

Only Manchester City defender John Stones has kept his place in the starting XI from last weekend's 2-1 victory over Nigeria.

Stones is joined at the back by Phil Jones and Harry Maguire, with Danny Rose and debutante Trent Alexander-Arnold at wing-back.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Fabian Delph and Liverpool's Jordan Henderson make up a three-man midfield, while Jamie Vardy partners Marcus Rashford up front.

In goal, Jack Butland comes in to replace Everton stopper Jordan Pickford.

Meanwhile, Costa Rica have made three changes from their 3-0 victory over Northern Ireland last time out.

Kendall Waston and Francisco Calvo are given run-outs in defence, and Marco Urena has been drafted into the Ticos' attack.

British-based players Cristian Gamboa, Bryan Oviedo and Joel Campbell all start for the visitors.

England: Butland; Jones, Stones, Maguire; Alexander-Arnold, Henderson, Delph, Loftus-Cheek, Rose; Vardy, Rashford
Subs: Pickford, Walker, Dier, Lingard, Kane, Sterling, Trippier, Welbeck, Cahill, Young, Alli, Pope
