Ravel Morrison and Wilfried Zaha were involved in an on-pitch spat during England Under-21s' 5-0 hammering of Lithuania on Tuesday night.
Morrison was incensed at not being able to complete his hat-trick when the Three Lions won a penalty, and angrily remonstrated to Manchester United winger Zaha.
Saido Berahino eventually scored the spot kick, but Morrison and Zaha were caught by BT Sport forcefully disputing the incident after the West Bromwich Albion youngster had tucked the penalty away.
However, Morrison did not want to dwell on the incident following the game, preferring to concentrate on his two goals.
"I can't remember it, I've not seen it back yet to be honest," he is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.
"I just thought I might as well drive it in because I drove it in before when I should have got my shot off but it got intercepted.
"I thought I might as well chance this one and try and break through the lines and that's what I did."
The pair were separated by Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond.
