UEFA have announced that disciplinary proceedings against CSKA Moscow have begun following alleged monkey chants targeted at Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure.
The Ivory Coast international is said to have been subjected to racist abuse from a selection of CSKA fans during yesterday's Champions League encounter in Russia, which ended 2-1 in City's favour.
The European governing body have announced that they will look into the "racist behaviour" of the Russian outfit's fans, as well as setting off fireworks during the match.
Despite the claims, CSKA have released a statement denying that any monkey chanting was directed at Toure after they watched the game back.
UEFA have stated that the governing body's control and disciplinary body will deal with the case on October 30.
