Half-Time Report: Celtic, Inverness level at the break

Celtic and Inverness go in goalless at the break in their top of the table Scottish Premiership clash at Celtic Park.

Celtic and Inverness Caledonian Thistle went in at the break goalless this afternoon as the Hoops try to claw back some ground on one this year's Scottish Premiership's pace setters.

Celtic started the match three points behind John Hughes's men, who sat joint top of the league at the start of play.

When the teams met in August the Highlands side ran out 1-0 winners, Billy McKay with the only goal of the game, but the Inverness man started on the bench this afternoon.

The visitors started the match brightly, winning a series of corners just after the quarter-hour mark ending up with a free kick in a dangerous position, Virgil van Dijk fouling Marley Watkins.

Greg Tansey's effort was stopped by the returning Lukasz Zaluska, and neither side could offer a meaningful effort before the break, half-hearted attempts from Mubarak Wakaso and Anthony Stokes not enough to break the deadlock.
