Half-Time Report: Celtic, Dundee United go in level at the break

Celtic are being held to a 0-0 draw at Dundee United at half time this afternoon.

Dundee United are holding Celtic to a goalless draw at half time in today's early Scottish Premiership game.

Celtic started brightly and could have taken the lead within a couple of minutes, but Mikael Lustig's shot was blocked well after an excellent pass from Kris Commons.

Vrigil van Dijk then surged out of defence and shot over the bar from a tight angle, before Emilio Izaguirre was found by Anthony Stokes but saw his effort palmed away by the goalkeeper.

The hosts improved midway through the half and created a couple of chances of their own. First, David Goodwillie's header was saved, and then Nadir Ciftci's free kick was tipped wide by Fraser Forster.

Ciftci continued to be a threat for the hosts, but neither side were able to create any goalscoring chances in the latter stages of the first 45 minutes, meaning they are goalless at half time.
