Late Kwame Yeboah strike wins it for Brisbane Roar

Kwame Yeboah's 88th-minute strike wins it for Brisbane Roar against Central Coast Mariners.

Kwame Yeboah's 88th-minute strike was enough to give Brisbane Roar a 1-0 win over Central Coast Mariners in the Australian A-League this morning.

The substitute had only been on the field a matter of minutes before smashing the ball into the roof of the net from close range to give the visitors the points at Bluetongue Stadium.

Marco Flores had a good chance for home side early on when his mazy dribble took him inside the area before Roar goalkeeper Michael Theo did well to smother the ball after eight minutes.

Brazilian striker Henrique wanted a penalty for Roar when he thought he was fouled by Damien Brown, although the referee gave the decision in the opposite direction.

Joshua Rose hit the post late on for the Mariners, before Yebaoh went up the other end moments later to grab the winner.
