Blackpool forward Ishmael Miller has refused to condemn the club's supporters for holding a protest during his team's 1-0 win over Cardiff City in the Championship.
Some fans staged a planned walkout in the 53rd minute as a stand against under-fire chairman Karl Oyston, but the striker believes that the disgruntled supporters merely want the best for the club.
"It's been very difficult, everybody knows what's been going on since the beginning of the season. But the last two weeks we have shown togetherness and it is great to get the first win today," he told Sky Sports News.
"Obviously, the fans just want the best for the club. I feel they have their right to do what they want to do, but we are just playing as well as we can for the club."
The result moves Blackpool off the foot of the league table into 23rd place.
