Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has admitted that he will stay at the club this summer after they rejected approaches from Bayern Munich.
Lewandowski, who has been linked with a move across Germany since the end of last season, said that he will see out the remaining 12 months on his contract.
"I have to accept that I am under contract with Borussia Dortmund and therefore I have to remain a player of the club," Lewandowski told Bild.
The Poland international's comments come to the delight of Dortmund's general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke, who praised the player's character.
"It's great to hear that," he said. "Generally, we never had any doubts regarding the good character of Robert."
Lewandowski is now expected to move to Bayern on a free transfer next summer.
