Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for Villarreal midfielder Pablo Fornals.
The Catalan outfit could target a new midfielder in January with Rafinha due to miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury, while Sergi Roberto is also expected to miss the next month with a hamstring issue.
Barcelona have been linked with a move for Frenkie de Jong, but it is understood that Ajax want £75m for the Netherlands international amid interest from Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Marca, Barcelona have now switched their attention to Fornals, who has a £22m release clause in his contract with the Yellow Submarine.
The 22-year-old has scored three times in 18 appearances for Villarreal this season.
