Barcelona boss Luis Enrique pays tribute to players

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique reveals his delight following his team's 7-0 win over Valencia in Wednesday's Copa del Rey semi-final first leg.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has 'congratulated' his players following their 7-0 win over Valencia in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final.

Lionel Messi hit a hat-trick for the Catalan outfit, while Luis Suarez struck four as the home side ran riot at Camp Nou.

Enrique has revealed that the most pleasing part of the performance was their "effectiveness" in the final third.

"We have to congratulate the players. They have all played well, with effectiveness up front. We have an objective and that is to win trophies again. If we can delight the fans, better!" Enrique told reporters.

Barcelona will return to La Liga action away to struggling Levante at the weekend.
