Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up for Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg with Barcelona.

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe will be reinstated to the starting lineup for the French champions' Champions League quarter-final first leg with Barcelona at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

The Real Madrid-bound striker was demoted to the bench for the weekend's Ligue 1 draw with Clermont, where a handful of other senior stars were absent entirely in order to enjoy well-earned rests.

Indeed, all of Bradley Barcola, Nuno Mendes, Lucas Hernandez and Warren Zaire-Emery are now primed to return, but Presnel Kimpembe (Achilles), Sergio Rico (head trauma) and Layvin Kurzawa (back) will miss out.

In addition, Nordi Mukiele lasted just 13 minutes of the weekend's battle with Clermont before sustaining a head injury, so Enrique may be without a recognised right-back for the opening encounter; Achraf Hakimi is suspended.

As a result, the returning Zaire-Emery might have to fill in on that side of defence, while Mendes should fend off the threat of Hernandez to take his place in the left-back position.

Milan Skriniar and Gianluigi Donnarumma are defensive shoo-ins, and fit-again captain Marquinhos - also brought off the bench against Clermont - should be reinstated to the backline too.

Two alterations in the middle of the park should see Lee Kang-in and Vitinha displace Marco Asensio and Carlos Soler to join number six Manuel Ugarte, while Mbappe could be one of two changes up top too; Ousmane Dembele should be given the nod against his old club.

Goncalo Ramos did not earn a single minute across PSG's two legs of their last-16 win over Real Sociedad, but he has found a hot streak of form with five goals from his last eight Ligue 1 games and has likely done enough to start as the hosts' number nine.

Paris Saint-Germain possible starting lineup:
Donnarumma; Zaire-Emery, Marquinhos, Skriniar, Mendes; Lee, Ugarte, Vitinha; Dembele, Ramos, Mbappe
