Arsenal target Alessio Cerci is left our of the Torino matchday squad for their game against Inter, with rumoured interest from Atletico Madrid the apparent reason.

Reported Arsenal target Alessio Cerci has been left out of Torino's matchday squad for their game against Inter Milan.

According to reports, however, his likely destination is not England, but Spain, as Atletico Madrid look to wrap up a deal before the transfer window closes on Monday.

The Spanish side have submitted an improved bid for the 27-year-old after seeing their initial offer of £9.5m rejected by Torino, Insidefutbol reports.

"The sale of Cerci is still possible and he's asked to leave. There are still four days to go, let's see", Torino president Urbano Cairo is quoted as saying.

Cerci was called up to the Italian national team in 2013 and has earned 13 caps for the Azzurri.
