Real Valladolid sporting director Fran Sanchez says that his club are yet to receive "an official offer" for Arsenal-linked Ivan Fresneda.

Real Valladolid sporting director Fran Sanchez has insisted that his club are yet to receive "an official offer" for Ivan Fresneda amid the ongoing speculation surrounding the defender.

The 18-year-old has broken into the Real Valladolid first team this season, featuring on 12 occasions in all competitions, with 10 of those outings coming in Spain's top flight.

Fresneda was only a substitute against Atletico Madrid in La Liga last weekend, though, amid claims that he could be on the move before the end of the January transfer window.

Arsenal continue to be heavily linked with the Spaniard, while there is also thought to be more interest from the Premier League in the shape of Newcastle United and Liverpool.

However, according to Sanchez, there has not been "an official offer" for the right-back.

"(Fresneda) has aroused the interest of many teams, but we have not received an official offer, but it is true that several clubs have contacted us and that interest of many clubs is real, but there is no official offer," Sanchez told AS. "We are not desperate trying to sell the player."

The Spain Under-19s international, who has a contract with his current side until June 2025, is also thought to be attracting the attention of Borussia Dortmund.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Valladolid would want €15m to let the teenager leave this month, although he could stay on loan with his current side for the rest of the season.

"No decision made by Ivan Fresneda... yet. €15m fee requested by Valladolid, Borussia Dortmund are pushing to get it done — Arsenal have to decide how to proceed in 24/48h," Romano wrote on Twitter.

"Valladolid want Fresneda to stay there on loan and BVB are discussing about it."

Last week, Real Valladolid chief David Espinar said that "there is a lot of interest" in the youngster.

"No firm offer has arrived for Fresneda, but there is a lot of interest," Espinar told reporters.

"The club has set a squad cost limit in the summer. We are going to try to reinforce the squad and we are aware that there are players who will leave.

"We don't have to sell any player to survive, but, in the football industry, everyone has to do it. It serves to strengthen squads and gives opportunities to people who want to improve or seek another destination."

Fresneda spent four years with Real Madrid's academy during his youth career, but he left Bernabeu in 2018 to join Leganes ahead of a switch to Real Valladolid two years later.
