Arsenal drop double transfer hint in new home kit launch?

Arsenal duo Aaron Ramsdale and Gabriel Jesus are both included in the club's launch for their 2024-25 home kit amid links with summer exits.

Arsenal have unveiled their new home kit for the 2024-25 season, with the notable inclusion of two transfer-linked players in the club's official launch.

For the first time since the 1989-90 season, the Gunners will sport a red jersey with the cannon emblem on the front, as opposed to their more traditional logo over the past 35 years.

However, Mikel Arteta's men will not be permitted to wear their new strips on the final day of the 2023-24 campaign, as teams capable of winning the title must compete in their current kits.

As a result, Gunners fans must wait until the pre-season period to see their side don their fresh colours, but a plethora of players tipped to head for the Emirates exit door this summer may never be seen in the new kit.

Two players linked with moves away ahead of the 2024-25 season have been Aaron Ramsdale and Gabriel Jesus, both of whom have only made fleeting contributions to Arsenal's push for title glory.

Nevertheless, both players were seen modelling Arsenal's 2024-25 home jersey at the Emirates Stadium as part of their official kit launch, potentially suggesting that there could be futures for both of them in North London.

In Jesus's case, the former Manchester City man has lost his previously guaranteed place in Mikel Arteta's XI due to a combination of injuries and the form of Kai Havertz, who has excelled in the number nine position in recent weeks.

The Brazil international has only earned 30 minutes of action across Arsenal's last four Premier League matches, and he was also overlooked for a place in Brazil's squad for the 2024 Copa America.

However, Jesus and Arteta are both intent on continuing to work together for the 2024-25 campaign, and the former supposedly believes that he will be firing on all cylinders again after an uninterrupted pre-season.

Meanwhile, Ramsdale's future is still far more uncertain despite him promoting the new goalkeeper's jersey, as he has been the club's second-choice goalkeeper behind David Raya ever since the September international break.

The Englishman's only Premier League appearances since have come against Raya's parent club Brentford, and even though the Gunners won both games, he was at fault for a Yoane Wissa goal in a 2-1 Emirates victory in March.

It has only been 12 months since Ramsdale extended his Arsenal contract until 2026, but he is expected to push for the exit door this summer after his father admitted that his son had "lost his smile" in North London.

Arsenal are yet to officially trigger Raya's £27m permanent clause, but there is a consensus that they will soon do so, as the Spaniard was also part of the club's home kit launch.

Arteta's men play their final game in their current strip on Sunday, as Everton arrive for gameweek 38 of the Premier League season, where the Gunners could still pip Manchester City to the title.

While Arsenal are two points worse off, thanks to their superior goal difference, they will finish first with all three points if Man City draw or lose at home to West Ham United.
