Team News: Olivier Giroud leads the Arsenal attack against Everton

Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are handed starts by Arsenal against Everton.

Arsenal have selected Olivier Giroud to lead the attack for their Premier League home match against Everton, preferring the Frenchman to Theo Walcott.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain starts in midfield in place of the injured Aaron Ramsey, while Gabriel Paulista replaces Per Mertesacker at the back.

Everton have made one change to the side that lost 3-0 to Manchester United last time out, drafting in Gerard Deulofeu to replace Steven Naismith, who drops to the bench.

Tom Cleverley returns to the Toffees' squad for the first time in two months, having recovered from an ankle injury to take up a spot among the subs.
