Aaron Ramsey: 'Chelsea will be worthy Premier League champions'

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey believes that Chelsea deserve to win this season's Premier League title.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has claimed that Chelsea will be worthy Premier League champions if they go on to lift the trophy.

Jose Mourinho's side took a step closer to the title on Sunday as they earned an important goalless draw against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.

Despite receiving criticism for their defensive setup during yesterday's match, Ramsey believes that the Blues have been the most consistent team in the top flight this season.

When asked if Chelsea deserve to win the league, the Welshman told Arsenal's official website: "Yes, I think so. If that's the case and they go on to win, they've only lost twice this season, so their consistency has been the best and that's what you need. They've definitely been the best team in the league.

"Probably this season they've done really well in the bigger games where they've kept their shape and frustrated teams like they did to us. On another day we may have scored a couple and won the game."

Arsenal continue their Premier League campaign on May 4 when they face relegation-threatened Hull City at the KC Stadium.
