Aaron Ramsdale heaps praise on 'agent Bukayo Saka' for helping to engineer a summer transfer to Arsenal for the shot-stopper.

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has hailed the influence of 'Agent Bukayo Saka' in his move to North London over the summer.

The former Sheffield United man appears to have established himself as Mikel Arteta's number one and has only conceded one goal in his five games across all competitions with the Gunners so far.

Ramsdale and Saka are currently away with the England squad ahead of this month's World Cup 2022 qualifiers, and the former has credited his teammate for helping engineer a move after the duo also spent time together in the Three Lions camp during Euro 2020.

Speaking to the official England YouTube account, Ramsdale said: "Agent Saka. That's what he says. He said the manager [Arteta] spoke to him a couple of times and thankfully he gave a good review of me.

"What a guy. He's just happy. He's just always happy. What a footballer as well. I'm very happy now he's on my team at club level. When you come here and you've got the talent which we've got up top and Bukayo's right in the mix of that. You just can't help but smile when he's mentioned or when he's in the room."

Ramsdale will hope to fend off competition from Sam Johnstone to start Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Andorra, with Jordan Pickford likely to be rested.
