How Arsenal could line up against Napoli

Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up for Thursday's Europa League quarter-final first leg against Napoli at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from their latest away disappointment when they host Napoli for the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday night.

The Gunners' top-four hopes were dealt a blow courtesy of a 1-0 loss at Everton on Sunday - extending their run to seven defeats and just two wins from their last 12 away games across all competitions, including in both previous Europa League knockout rounds.

It is in sharp contrast to their home form, where Arsenal have won their last seven across all competitions and have conceded just one goal in their last six.

Unai Emery will be hoping for more of the same in front of their own fans when they welcome another of the tournament's favourites to North London, and here Sports Mole looks at how the Premier League outfit could line up for the match.

Possible ARS XI vs. NAP

Out: Hector Bellerin (knee), Rob Holding (knee), Danny Welbeck (ankle)

Arsenal are sweating over the fitness of Laurent Koscielny and Granit Xhaka for this match, with Emery confirming after the Everton defeat that both would still be doubts on Thursday.

Koscielny appears to be the most likely to recover from his bruised foot, although Arsenal will also give Xhaka as much time as possible before making a final decision on his inclusion.

Lucas Torreira is back available after a domestic suspension and is therefore expected to come back into the side, and he could be joined in the starting lineup by Aaron Ramsey, who came on as a half-time sub against Everton.

The importance of the game and level of the opposition means that rotation could be limited from Emery, although he has strength to welcome off the bench with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - another half-time introduction at the weekend - among those able to come into the starting XI.

Emery must decide whether to keep faith with Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, while at the other end of the field Petr Cech is expected to start, having been handed the gloves in this competition so far.
