Former world number one Rafael Nadal has returned to the training court for the first time since being beaten in the second round of Wimbledon by Czech Lukas Rosol.
The 26-year-old has not competed in a tournament since June after struggling with a host of knee injuries in second half of the year.
However, according to various reports, the Spaniard underwent a session in his home town of Manacor as he steps up his comeback ahead of the Australian Open in January.
His latest injury was diagnosed as a partial tear of the patella tendon, with his combative style a major contributor to his recent problems.
