Andy Murray hopes to "win back some fans" at ATP Finals

British number one Andy Murray hopes that he can "win back some fans" at this week's ATP World Tour Finals in London.

Andy Murray has said that he is keen to "win back some fans" when he competes in the ATP World Tour Finals in London over the next week.

The British number one will play in front of a UK crowd for the first time since publicly supporting Scottish independence when he takes on Kei Nishikori in his opening match tomorrow.

The world number six told BBC Sport: "The crowd has always given me very good support when I've played here and at Wimbledon and Queen's throughout my whole career.

"So I hope this week that's the same but if not, I'll do my job, I'll give my best effort regardless and hopefully win back some fans this week."

Murray will also play Roger Federer and Milos Raonic in the group stage of the finals.
