Toulon: 'We want to keep Jonny Wilkinson'

Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal insists that he wants to keep Jonny Wilkinson at the club.

Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal has revealed that he wants former England fly-half Jonny Wilkinson to remain at the club.

The 33-year-old's current deal with the French outfit expires this summer, but Boudjellal has claimed that there is a new offer on the table.

"I'd sign him for four years if he wanted to. He knows that if I extend it, it's not for bad reasons. It's just that he's an excellent player. Only he can say, it's he who decides," he told reporters at a press conference.

It is understood that Wilkinson will announce his future plans in March.
