Northampton Saints head coach Jim Mallinder believes that his side "owe" Leicester Tigers a defeat at the weekend.
The two sides meet at Franklin's Gardens on Saturday, when the second-placed Tigers travel to the fourth-placed Saints in the East Midlands derby.
The Tigers have beaten the Saints in their last six meetings, and Mallinder believes that it is time to end that sequence.
"We enjoy playing Leicester and in a way we owe them one because they've been very successful against us in recent years," Mallinder told the Northampton Chronicle. "We went up there and got beaten and they came up here last year and beat us.
"It is a big game, it is Leicester, but for us it's where we are and it's about us getting another win, that's what we've got to concentrate on.
"We've got to get our own performance right and hopefully we can do that."
Saints are currently four points behind the Tigers in the Aviva Premiership table.
