Former England international Jonny Wilkinson has been left out of the 37-man British and Irish Lions squad for their tour of Australia this summer.
There had been suggestions that the 33-year-old could be a late inclusion in the squad following his display as captain of Toulon in their Heineken Cup semi-final victory on Sunday.
It had been reported that head coach Warren Gatland was reluctant to pick players from French clubs, which could be the reason behind Wilkinson's omission.
England captain Chris Robshaw has also been left out of the squad, despite impressing during his nation's Autumn internationals and the Six Nations campaign, while there is a place for Saracens prop Matt Stevens in the set-up, despite retiring from England duty last summer.
Overall, there are 15 Wales players, 10 who represent England, nine from the Ireland set-up and three from Scotland.
