New Zealand 60-0 Ireland

New Zealand seal a 3-0 series whitewash over Ireland with a devastating display in Hamilton, where Ireland barely got near the All Blacks try line.

Ireland have succumbed to a 3-0 series whitewash by failing to score a single point in the final Test in Hamilton this morning.

The hosts went over for the first time in the seventh minute when Aaron Cruden collected a Sonny Bill Williams off-load before finding Sam Cane to notch his first Test try.

Five minutes later Cruden stepped inside and found Williams who, despite having 40m to the line, couldn't be stopped and raced clear to score.

Cruden and Williams again linked up cleverly with the latter going over for a second time to stretch the lead to 21 points.

Try number four came when the ever-present Cruden pounced on a loose ball and ran half the length of the pitch before feeding Conrad Smith, who in turn found namesake Ben to go over.

The All Blacks took a 29-0 half-time lead as Beauden Barrett scored his first international points by sending a penalty between the sticks after Rob Kearney was yellow-carded for a deliberate knock-on.

Cane got his second try moments into the second period before Hosea Gear showed great pace and strength to hold off Irish challenges on the left wing and secure the sixth try of the match.

The lead was up to 46 when flankers Cane and Liam Messam combined, with the latter going over on the far left.

Williams was again influential as New Zealand extended their advantage, the former Rugby League man showed off his kicking skills by finding the onrushing Israel Dagg with a low boot forward.

The home side reached a mammoth 60 points in the 73rd minute when they made the most of another turnover, with substitute Adam Thomson scoring his sixth Test try.

The 60-point victory is a new record margin for the All Blacks against Ireland.

Last week's narrow defeat in Christchurch must seem a long while ago now for the Irish, who will look to forget this loss when they return home.
