Harlequins have returned to the top of the Aviva Premiership table after surviving a comeback from London Welsh at the Kassam Stadium.
After a quiet opening 15 minutes, Harlequins dominated the first half, running in three tries in just over 20 minutes to take a 21-6 lead at the break.
The hosts fought their way back into the match in the second period, with tries from Edward Jackson and Nick Scott leaving Quins just five points ahead with eight minutes left to play.
A scrappy finish to the match saw both sides finish with 14 men on the pitch, after James Tideswell and George Robson were both sin-binned.
The win moves Harlequins back above Saracens, with just three points separating the top three clubs in the league.
Welsh remain in 10th with a five-point cushion over London Irish.
