England prop Alex Corbisiero has admitted his delight after being drafted into the British and Irish Lions squad for the summer tour of Australia.
The 24-year-old, who was on tour with his country in Argentina, was called into the squad last week to replace Cian Healy, who suffered an ankle injury in the win over Western Force.
"It was a long journey but I'm not complaining - I would do it again just to be here. You never like to come in for anyone who is injured and I feel for Cian and Gethin but I just feel so privileged to be given this opportunity," he told reporters at a press conference.
"It's been a bit of a whirlwind afternoon meeting everyone and I'm looking forward to going to the game tonight and then getting down to training. I also want to wish England all the best against Argentina today."
Corbisiero has made 16 appearances for England.
