Southampton consider Kevin Doyle bid

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins is keen on signing Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Kevin Doyle ahead of next season.

Southampton are plotting a bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Kevin Doyle.

The Republic of Ireland international has only scored four club goals this season and has started the last two matches as a substitute.

Wolves are bottom of the Premier League table and look almost certain to be relegated, while the promotion-chasing Saints are top of the Championship table with only four games remaining.

According to The Mirror, manager Nigel Adkins is keen to bring in the 28-year-old to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season regardless of what division his side are competing in.
