Preview: Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. West Bromwich Albion

Wolverhampton Wanderers hope to pick up the points with a home fixture against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are desperate to climb up the table and have the chance to claim a second consecutive victory if they overcome West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

Mick McCarthy could take a risk at Molineux by starting three strikers following Emmanuel Frimpong's injury blow, which has forced the Arsenal midfielder out for the rest of the season.

Kevin Doyle, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Steven Fletcher joined up in the second half of Wolves' 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers last weekend, and McCarthy could enlist the services of the trio for the Baggies' visit.

Roy Hodgson is unlikely to start Graham Dorrans as he continues to overcome a hip problem, while absentee Shane Long could clinch a spot on the bench as Hodgson attempts to ease the striker back into the side following an illness.

Paul Scharner is likely to enter the middle of the park, while Peter Odemwingie and Marc-Antoine Fortune are expected to lead the line for the Baggies.

Current form:

Wolverhampton Wanderers: DLDLLW
West Bromwich Albion: LLLWDL

Possible lineups:

Wolves: Hennessey; Johnson, Foley, Stearman, Ward; Bassong, O'Hara, Edwards; Doyle, Ebanks-Blake, Fletcher

West Brom: Foster; Shorey, Olsson, McAuley, Reid; Mulumbu, Scharner, Thomas, Morrison; Fortune, Odemwingie

Sports Mole says: 1-1
