Wolves manager Mick McCarthy expects striker Steven Fletcher to resume full training next week.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Mick McCarthy has revealed that Steven Fletcher is closing in on a return to full training with the Premier League squad.

The 24-year-old has been ruled out for the past fortnight with a calf injury, which he picked up playing for Scotland in the side's Euro 2012 qualifiers.

"Hopefully Fletch will be able to train next week," said McCarthy. "He had an injection which has been successful."

The striker was Wolves' top scorer last season.
