Kevin De Bruyne is left out of the Wolfsburg squad for their Bundesliga clash with Schalke 04.

Kevin De Bruyne has been left out of the Wolfsburg squad for their Bundesliga clash at home to Schalke 04.

The Belgian attacking midfielder is reportedly on the verge of joining Manchester City.

Ivan Perisic, who has been linked with Inter Milan, has also been omitted from the Wolfsburg squad.

Dieter Hecking has made a total of three changes following last weekend's 1-1 draw with FC Koln as Christian Trasch, Daniel Caligiuri and Josuha Guilavogui are all given the nod.

Meanwhile, Schalke have made four changes in the wake of their 1-1 draw with Darmstadt 98 as Sascha Riether, Leroy Sane, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Roman Neustadter are all recalled.
