West Ham United are reportedly in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a move for goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.
The former Real Madrid loanee plied his trade in the English top flight with Fulham last year but could not save the Cottagers from a swift relegation back down to the Championship.
Areola impressed with nine clean sheets from 36 Premier League appearances, though, and his prospects at PSG do not seem promising ahead of Gianluigi Donnarumma's imminent arrival.
According to the Daily Mail, PSG are happy to sanction Areola's exit now that Donnarumma's signing is close to being confirmed, and West Ham have touched base with Mauricio Pochettino's side over a move.
The report adds that the Hammers are hoping to strike an initial loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer, as David Moyes plans for life after Lukasz Fabianski, who turns 37 next year.
Areola has kept 53 clean sheets in 107 appearances for PSG and is due to become a free agent in the summer of 2023.
