West Ham United joint-chairman David Gold has revealed that the club are still looking to add another striker to boost their attacking options before the transfer window closes.
The Hammers have Andy Carroll and Enner Valencia out injured and despite still having Diafra Sakho, Mauro Zarate and Modibo Maiga at their disposal, Gold admitted that they are keen to bring in another frontman.
He told talkSPORT: "It's been made worse by Valencia getting injured, so yes there's no doubt that before the window closes, we'd like to add another striker.
"But by the same token we could have Andy Carroll back sooner rather than later, which would be a fantastic bonus."
Emmanuel Adebayor is reportedly seeking a move to Upton Park after the Tottenham Hotspur striker allegedly turned down a switch to Aston Villa.
