West Ham United midfielder Stewart Downing has revealed that he and his teammates are full of confidence following their win over Queens Park Rangers.
The Hammers moved up to seventh place in the Premier League table on Sunday thanks to a 2-0 victory at Upton Park.
The hosts opened the scoring early on through a Nedum Onuoha own goal before Diafra Sakho sealed the points in the second half with his fifth goal of the season.
"It was a very good home win for us to move to seventh. Our home form is good and no disrespect to QPR, but we have to beat teams like this at home," Downing told Sky Sports News.
"We are playing well as a team, enjoying ourselves and there is competition for places that keeps everyone on their toes."
West Ham are back in action after the international break when they travel to Burnley in the league on October 18.
