West Ham United boss David Moyes: 'I won't rush Javier Hernandez comeback'

West Ham boss David Moyes reveals that Javier Hernandez will remain absent from his squad for the trip to Everton on Wednesday night.

West Ham United boss David Moyes has revealed that he intends to take no chances with the fitness of striker Javier Hernandez.

The summer signing has been out of action since sustaining an injury while on international duty with Mexico earlier this month, and the Hammers have scored just one goal in two games during his absence.

However, while Moyes has acknowledged that the former Manchester United man is nearing a return, the Scot insists that the forward will play no part of the Premier League clash with Everton on Wednesday night.

The 54-year-old told reporters: "He's going to be a few days or a bit longer, but we want him back fit because we have so many games coming up."

Hernandez has netted four goals from 11 starts in the top flight since moving to the London Stadium.
